Re: Thomas Sexton & Susannah Anglim
Hi Annie, I'm not sure if you can get the microfilms printed in the National Library where I was working - I'll check next week when I'm in. I'm fairly sure they don't provide a service to post out documents. I'll check it out next week when I am in again, and who knows, there might be more siblings...

Re: Thomas Sexton & Susannah Anglim
Hi Annie, I've been going through the Kilmurry Ibrickane Church registers on microfilm and thought your names rang a bell so I checked today when I went back to the microfilm. I found these - Marriages January 8, 1846 Thomas Sexton and Jane Anglim. Witnesses John Halloran (?) and Darby Anglim. (I ca...

Elisa MORAN of Morrell of Ennis
Can anybody please help identify the Morrell in the information I have:- Elisa MORAN of Morrell of Ennis, married Michael CASEY, fifth son of Nicholas CASEY, in the 1850s. These CASEYS are the Quilty family, still in residence in the area. The information came, via Australia, from a conversation wit...

An update / clarification on using the National Library of Ireland (NLI). If you only want to do genealogical research - Griffiths, Tithes, parish registers, newspapers - you no longer need a full Reader's ticket. Instead you get a daily pass or badge from the front desk Do I need a Reader’s Ticket ...

Re: location of Bleanaligg
I'm copying here a posting from the Rootsweb Clare List which my brother and a Clareman Donal de Barra wrote some years ago (2005) and which supports Polycarp's suggestions. Brendan Burke wrote: >The Clare Journal of 12 October 1778 carries a list of properties in the Barony of Ibricane to be let by...

Thank you for that Sharon. Both those look very interesting. When time permits the list of books would also be very welcome.
Thanks

West Clare Railway - on TV
TG4 the (partly) Irish language state TV station is currently showing a series on old railways, (Boithre Iarainn) one of which is the West Clare Railway. Each programme is a mixture of old black and white footage, some re-enactments, and interviews. Some of these are in the Irish language with Engli...

1839 Parish Census Milltown Malbay
Would anyone know where the original,or a full microfilm of this resource is held? It is currently being transcribed on the igp archive but the pages/people I want haven't appeared yet. I have one sheet which came via a contact in 2001 from the Clare Heritage Centre which implies they had/have the m...
