Paddy - I don't know if it is the same family - Mr. Denis Behan. aged 60, died at Kilrush Workhouse as per 'Deaths in Kilrush Workhouse 1850/51 on Clare Library. Miriam.

Hi - a bit of info on Drumdigus School - it is in the parish of Kilmurry-McMahon - about 8 miles from Kilrush - for church purposes the parish is called 'KILMURRY-CLONDERLAW - as there are two other parishes called Kilmurry in Clare. I see there is a google search' on www.clarelibrary.ie - - on the top bar - and when you put in Ennistymon you will find lots of info to keep you reading for a month !! esp. about the McNamaras. !!

Hi Lyn - I am back again !! I see from the website posted by Lucille above that the Archives Address for the army is : Officer in Charge, Military Archives, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Rathmines, Dublin 6. You might get some info there as to what army barracks your Dad was in. Miriam.
