Paddy - I don't know if it is the same family - Mr. Denis Behan. aged 60, died at Kilrush Workhouse as per 'Deaths in Kilrush Workhouse 1850/51 on Clare Library. Miriam.

Hi - a bit of info on Drumdigus School - it is in the parish of Kilmurry-McMahon - about 8 miles from Kilrush - for church purposes the parish is called 'KILMURRY-CLONDERLAW - as there are two other parishes called Kilmurry in Clare. I see there is a google search' on www.clarelibrary.ie - - on the top bar - and when you put in Ennistymon you will find lots of info to keep you reading for a month !! esp. about the McNamaras. !!

Hi Lyn = there was an old Army Barracks at Cappa - about a mile from Kilrush - but it was not used since 1920's - only a tower left now - holidays home built there. I had a look at 'Church Records' on Clare Library - and when I looked at details for 'Kilchreest' - it says see 'Clondegad' - so it is now the one parish.
