Re: Kierce/Kerse/Kierse families near Corrofin

You are not going to find Catholic church records prior to 1819 - there were not any churches then. I dont know about Protestant records, but if there were any they mostly dont exist any more. land records are your most likely source. Most people cant go back that far.

Re: Quin Interments

Quinn abbey http://www.igp-web.com/igparchives/ire/clare/cemeteries/quin.txt I am pretty sure this is not complete as my grandmothers Quinn side have a vault there which does not seem to be mentioned. Another issue is that gravestones are not always complete. My family have a story about how they go...

Mocavo.com

I am getting good results with the (free) Mocavo.com search. I ran several google searches on Daniel Gallery of Montreal (MP and Alderman). It seemed some new material was online. After doing so I ran a search with Mocavo and got some more results. It pulled up the street directories of the time Try...

Re: Master Hugh Brady of Ruan National School, b.ca.1844, d.

We may be at cross purposes here. The Hehirs who were mourners were originally from Ballycorick. I dont know if they were the same family or not but they married into the Taaffes. I have not seen them use O'Hehir but maybe some do
The are the Hehirs buried with the Taaffes in Ruan graveyard
