Re: CBS ~ Ennistymon ~ Do they release Student Records?

Hi Springfield college is not exactly the same as St Flannans though one replaced the other. I suggest you ask Peter Beirne of Clare local studies for records of Springfield and if the enrollment records exist for the years you quote.http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/library/local-studies/locstudi1.h...

Re: Help Needed - Clonrush Parish Cemetery

Hi

There seems to be a simple explanation. Fidelias gravestone says her sons John and George are buried east of her beside their grandfather Henry. John A appears to be buried seperately

Re: Searching for info on Mary Vandeleur, Sixmilebridge, 183

Maybe start with the book by Senan Scanlon on Clare library website http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclar ... /intro.htm

After that the Vandeleurs are most likely in Burkes peerage or Burkes irish gentry

Re: Glynns of knockaderra & Ennnis and General John Glynn j

I gave Declan Barron of Newpark House a call. Its his busy time of the year but he has been researching Glynns. He thinks Bartholomew who went to Kilrush was a brother of the Knockaderra Glynn family - There were two Bartholomew or Bartly Glynns in the tithes, its not a common name he said the two B...

Re: Grogan and Quinlivan of Kilrush and Limerick

I gave the Glynns a call and got one cousin, others know more they said. Declan Barron told me before he has a copy of Mary Glynn nee Gallerys obit which probably explains a lot. Thomas Glynn who married Mary Gallery was born in Knockaderra house which is a bigger farmhouse and was the landlords hou...

Why dont you ask the current Andrew or Gerard Clancy (of the pub)? Andrew is his brother. Their father was Tom. Just drop them a line

Re: Grogan and Quinlivan of Kilrush and Limerick

Correction that was D, Gallery Lahinch so probably a Daniel Gallery from the Ennistymon Lahinch branch. My gt grandfather was either dead or very old then (I forget which). His sons in law are there or sons in law to be.

Re: Grogan and Quinlivan of Kilrush and Limerick

I assume Bartley is a form of Batholemew which seems to be a Glynn name and is the only way I know that there may be a connection with the Kilrush Glynns I will ask my Glynn cousins who probably know some of whom (Niamh ) still live in Knockaderra. Denis (Dinny) Glynn married Josephine Gallery daugh...

Re: Grogan and Quinlivan of Kilrush and Limerick

Thanks for posting that. I see my gt grandfather David Gallery on it. His daughter married a Knockaderra Glynn. Who was Michael Glynn of Ennis. Was he the Knockaderra Glynns or another Glynn family. I believe they are all related although the Knockaderra Glynns say they are not related to the Kilrus...

Re: O'HENNESSY in Ennis & London

Patrick O'Hennessy of Arthurs row may not be related at all. I would be more inclined to try to track down the waterloo Hares who in fact are easily researchable on line, See below this took me ten minutes. I looked at the Waterloo roll call which is scanned in online https://archive.org/stream/wate...
