I checked it for you grandparents' burials. The page for 1940 is illegible but I found Thomas' entry in 1955. It just states that he...

Re: where is Townland Garrynafinchoage

Hi Kerry, Taking Murf's suggestion and looking at the group of surnames listed for Garrynafinchoage in the Tithes, they appear to be clustered in three current adjoining townlands: Gortlecka, Knockaunroe and Rinnamona, numbers 29, 35 and 46 respectively on this map of Killinaboy townlands: http://ww...

Re: Hennessy Family of Clooneyogan South, Miltown Malbay, Co

Hi Kevin, I'm in touch with Colin Hennessy, who wrote the article on Seamus I referred to above. Colin has sent me Darby's death record and the following information on him and the family: Darby died at Cloneyogan on 22nd June 1892 with his age given as 80. His wife Margaret (nee. Finucane) Hennessy...

The Ennis Parish Registers are online http://www.ennisparish.com/genealogy/. The Baptism register for 1839 isn't listed, but there's a John, baptised in 1841 to James Crowe and Honor Lysaght.

Hi Justin,
I'm attaching two photos of the Kilkishen RHO blessing from the Champion. The quality is not great as the pages are yellowing and the photos quite grainy.

He might, of course, have taken up the language later in life. The Gaelic league was very popular around the turn of the 20th century and ran Iri...
