Re: Did/does a place called Moohan exist?
Hi Paddy,
Thanks for the advice, I have found the Doherty's you refer to. Some have addresses so I am thinking of writing. It might be a bit off - putting if I just telephone.
I really appreciate your help.
Regards,
Dave

Re: Placenames Database of Ireland
Paddy, Thanks for the other advice you sent me. I noticed when looking at the 1901 census information for Doherty there were Casey's at Sixmilebridge in the same parish. There is a Mooghaun Farm on the "Goireland" website but I tried and failed to send them an email. If I go on Clare...

Did/does a place called Moohan exist?

The 1911 UK census says she was originally from Moohane (or possibly Morhane). My initial research seemed to suggest s...

Charlotte Doherty of Moohane
I am trying to find out whether there is anyway I can look up Registers of Births in around 1850/1851 or any other records which might help me with information about her. According to the 1911 UK Census my great grandmother Charlotte Doherty was a resident of Moohane, County Clare, and was 60 years ...
