I am only surmising he was in trouble but feel with his trouble i...

My gg grandfather John Lynch joined the HEIC at Exeter in 1848 [as shown on his Embarkation Record] and leaving for India in 1848 in the 2nd European Light Infantry, stated that he was from Kilrush, Co Clare b about June 1827 of which I cannot find any record as records are only found from December ...

Re: Verlins near Tulla - use of term Alias in Parish Registe

Thank you polycarp for your extra info on the Verlins in Cloondana which I have also found on the 1855 Griffiths and also the name McInerny in Cloondana. Looks as though originally from Limerick.

Re: Verlins near Tulla - use of term Alias in Parish Registe

I am hoping the person querying the name Verlin near Tulla is still a member of the Clare Co Library Forum. I am also researching the name Verlin i.e. Kate Verlin married Darby Doogan with 2 of their children Mary born about 1815 and Martin bapt 1 July 1821 in Tulla. Mary Doogan married Patrick Hall...

Re: LYNCH family from THE GLEN, KILRUSH

Thank you so much Kerry for your reply which I'm sorry I've only just looked at the Forum and found it. I have found the Dundon's at Querrin, Moyarta & Kilrush. If there were PR's to show that my ggg grandfather Patrick was the son of Michael Lynch & Bridget Moran it would be brilliant let alone fin...

I am hoping someone may be able to help me find the wife of my ggg grandfather Patrick LYNCH of Kilrush please. Patrick was born about 1800 Kilrush and had a son John in June 1827, however I've never been able to find the christian name let alone the maiden surname of John's mother. His HEIC army re...

Re: Verlin / Verling / Virlin of Tubber, Co.Clare

Hi Sharon Thank you for getting back to me so soon and yes I am still searching for all mine and my husband's ancestors with some great success and some not so great, like the Hallorans which as you said are very prolific. I practically live on the Cty Clare website which is great but with so many H...

I have done very little on any of these except that Mary Halloran nee Doogan b ...
