General Register Office research room in Dublin

Had a day trip to Dublin last monday, spent the morning looking through their births,marriages and deaths. What a fantastic place to uncover family information (providing you go armed with some family history) you can come away with photocopies(5 max) of family certificates They hold all BMD records...

Can anybody tell me how I go about finding out / or confirm
if a relative of mine ended up in this awful place ?

I think the period must be somewhere between 1930 - 1940

Hello Paddy I am planning to be in London later on this month,all being well I shall make a visit to Kew and have a look at RIC and WW1 records. On a previous visit to Kew I was able to browse Mr Herlihy's book which listed all the RIC in alphabetical order - at this point I would prefer not to both...

Hello Paddy You are spot on - I had done some research in the websites you suggested. Last month I paid a flying visit to Ireland and visited the National Library in Dublin and was able to view old copies of the Clare Champion on microfilm, it was very interesting. :?: I'm trying to locate the burial plot of an old relative in Drumcliffe cemetery.
Can anybody tell me how I go about getting this information ?
