You should try get more information (the marriage and death certs) of the 3 sons born in Ireland. If you can identify the parish they were born in their baptismal records should survive. Finding these would help bring you back further.

It might be possible the Batt Glynn in Kilrush is the same Batt Glynn who had land in Templemaley Parish near Ennis in the Tithes ?

You can find Catholic branches of most of the gentry families.
If a Protestant man married a catholic girl the Catholic church allowed the marriage but the children were to be raised as Catholics.
This was the most common way conversion to Catholicism occurred.

Dilger is another name that came to Ennis about this time and there are still Dilger families in Ennis.
