The Dangan referred to could Dangan Castle in the townland of Knocksaggart, Ballynacally. Graigbrien is about three miles north of Dangan Castle. Thanks Sharon, Happy Thanksgiving and 1000th anniversary,

I recently found a record of a lease in 1778 with Felix and Thos Gillereagh, Doonogan East and Clonlagheen East (Clare Journal).
I suspect the name survived as "Gallery" in west Clare in the Tithe Applotment Books and Griffiths Valuation.
